"The pointing on our 1870’s stone cottage was in need of repair, and so we searched for someone who would be able to repoint the cottage sympathetically, using lime mortar.

We contacted a couple of companies to discuss the project, but Tom’s knowledge and passion for working with and preserving old buildings using traditional materials was outstanding. He explained the process thoroughly, and even did some mortar samples so we could compare different colour mortars and choose one that fitted best with the stonework. He also organised the whole process, including scaffolding, and worked methodically, completing the work on schedule and to a fantastic standard. He even swept up and cleaned the windows before he finished!

The result is superb, and we have had many comments from neighbours about how much better the cottage looks. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Tom's work."
